That is an excellent way to say it-and sum it up!

Differentiation means to me using different teaching styles in my classroom in hopes of engaging all of my students. It will allow me to hopefully hit every students individual learning style.

When thinking about it, I do hit most, but I hit "my styles" more than 'all styles'... hard to get away from that!

Differentiation means the ability to impact all learners where they're at and to draw them into our classroom's learning. I should strive to use more of these ideas and tools in my classroom. I'd love to see the impact and see how differentiation affected certain levels or style of learners.

Wouldn't it be nice to have time to watch videos from teachingchannel.org on differentiation and hear/watch the impact from the teachers involved as to how it did positively affect the students' learning!

Differentiation means making it possible for every student to succeed. Differentiation makes it easier for students to find worth in what they are asked to do in class. Differentiation allows different students to work with students that they wouldn't normally work with and/or work on things that they find valuable and can connect in a real-world way in a different setting and for a different purpose.

It means modifying they way I present material, the way I allow students to learn (ex; letting them stand, or go to a quiet place to learn), and the way I allow them to show me what they have learned. This will peak students interest and when they reach mastery level they will maintain this knowledge for a much longer time.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that it's all about making sure that students can show/demonstrate what it is that they know/have learned. Every student can demonstrate those things in a variety of ways.

Differentiation means reaching out to all students using various instructional techniques regardless of their learning style while taking into consideration the wide variety of backgrounds.

Differentiation means changing the content, the process, or the product of the lesson in order to meet the needs of diverse learners. Each student has specific needs, strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. By differentiating, I can adapt my lessons to these differences so that all students can learn better.
